Swedish R's before a stop

In my opinion, Swedish r's never disappear. But in the Swedish of Sweden, the r before s, t, d, l, and n tends to fuse with the following consonant into a retroflex sound. This is not usual in the Swedish of Finland, actually it is something we usually mimick in Finland to poke fun at Swedes.

Ah, OK, not before velars, then. (I don't think Verdurians would hear retroflexion as anything like an r... unless they've heard an Ismaîn r.)
