Verdurian = Spanish?

Of course, the French elements in Verdurian are rather obvious: syel, uazo, cör, zhen, etc, not to mention grammar.

*I* for one have noticed Kebreni neko "cat" presumably from Japanese, and natu which in Mark's pronunciation is very similar to the English verb not!

Yes, neko is Japanese; also kem 'god' and s'enen 'small boy', among others. And I just came across melah' 'king', which shouldn't be hard to recognize.
