A name in Verdurian

I've got a question: it seems to me that the Verdurian word for Xurno, 'Ahuenai', would correspond to 'Axunai'. Why it remains the same, and hasn't changed to 'Huerno', for instance?

Oh, laziness. :) Basically the same reason we still refer to Zhongguó by the name of a 2000-year-old dynasty (the Qín)!
